Our 114,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries. This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the Abbott Quality and Regulatory (AQR), Global Quality Operations team. As a Sr. Quality Engineer/Analyst within Global Quality Operations, you will provide high quality support for metrics and management review within the Abbott Quality and Regulatory division. You will interact with all Abbott divisions to collect quality metrics and identify areas of risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with all Abbott divisions and stakeholders who drive metrics and management review, participate and drive an active community of practice (CoP).
  • Support key business processes related to Competitor Analysis, Abbott Monthly Review (AMR) and Management Review forums with executive leadership.
  • Provide business knowledge and support for key quality IT systems within AQR like ABTRAQ Audit and the AMR and Site Health Reporting Portal.
  • Collect, compile and analyze data from multiple sources and compile into actionable insights, including monthly and quarterly department metrics.
  • Leverage AQR Redshift Data Lake to serve the businesses and interact/build PowerBI dashboards.
  • Execute data verification for quality reports and compile verification packages.
  • Streamline current data gathering and data analysis processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support Quality Intelligence, including data gathering, analysis and trending, and preparing graphs.
  • Potentially support AQR data science and analytics team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or life science.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Quality, Compliance, Engineering within a regulated environment such as medical device, diagnostics, nutrition, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Quality system and/or compliance experience.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills including fundamental statistical analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience presenting complex data analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, user interaction & interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with skills in communication, teamwork, problem solving, project management, analytical thinking, organization, strategic thinking, time management, and multi-tasking.
  • Dashboarding experience desired (PowerBI, smartsheet, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or life science.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a regulated environment.
