About the Role

The vision for this position is to emphasize outbound marketing and creative content generation in the immediate term. In our boutique commercial real estate firm, this role will be the one-person marketing department responsible for producing high-quality marketing materials and managing our digital presence for property listings. The emphasis is on hands-on creation of flyers, website and listing updates, email campaigns, and social media content, rather than on long-term inbound strategies (e.g. SEO/Ads). The ideal candidate is a proactive content creator with the technical skills to hit the ground running. This position is envisioned as full-time (with potential to start part-time while our listing volume is small), and candidates local to our Allentown, PA office (with hybrid flexibility) are preferred so they can collaborate in person at least part of each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce flyers, brochures, and other promotional materials for commercial property listings, including layout of photos, maps, and property details.
  • Manage the firm's presence on commercial real estate listing portals such as LoopNet and CoStar, including posting new listings, updating details or price changes, and enhancing listings with quality photos and descriptions.
  • Create and deploy email campaigns via Mailchimp on a regular schedule, including designing email flyers, copywriting property highlights or announcements, and managing targeted lists.
  • Analyze basic email metrics (opens, clicks) to gauge engagement and refine future campaigns.
  • Update and maintain the company website (WordPress) with new and existing listings, ensuring property information, photos, and statuses are current.
  • Improve listing presentation on the website and refresh team profiles or news items as needed using basic HTML/WordPress skills.
  • Manage the firm's social media presence, especially on LinkedIn, including posting listing announcements, deal spotlights, and industry content.
  • Monitor messages and inquiries from social channels and coordinate responses with the brokerage team.
  • Ensure all marketing outputs maintain a consistent brand look and voice, advising on design improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Work closely with brokers/agents to gather property information and support internal marketing needs such as preparing presentation materials and organizing contact lists.
  • Use analytics from Mailchimp, LinkedIn, and website tools to track campaign reach and suggest improvements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, design, or communications, preferably with exposure to real estate or a similar industry.
  • Proven skills in graphic design and content creation, with high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress) and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing services such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact, including template creation and list segmentation.
  • Strong writing skills for creating engaging marketing copy, headlines, property summaries, and call-to-action text.
  • Attention to detail for proofreading and accuracy of listing data.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with team and clients for marketing needs.
  • Willingness to learn new marketing technologies or trends and bring innovative ideas.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Portfolio of design and content samples is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with social media management for business, especially LinkedIn.
  • Experience with website optimization and user experience improvements.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and metrics analysis.
  • Ability to handle multiple marketing tools and platforms efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (preferred).
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered.
