About the Role

The Regional Operations Manager position within the Wayne Dalton division is responsible for implementing the company's core business strategy to achieve operating revenue goals and top-line sales. The role involves managing dealer strategy, sales performance, and margin enhancement in the Central territory, reporting to the Vice President of Sales. The position requires living in the region near a major airport, with no relocation offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve margin and profitability targets.
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and control operational and sales expenses.
  • Plan aggressive sales strategies to determine customer needs and competitive pricing.
  • Support and collaborate with other departments including Engineering, Credit, Customer Service, Marketing, Research, Development, and Quality Assurance.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales performance presentations and suggest improvements.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the Vice President of Sales to enhance overall company performance.

Requirements

  • Experience in related building supply industries, Capitol Equipment Sales, IT, Computer Science, or Engineering is considered.
  • Ability to demonstrate a career path of increasing promotions and responsibilities.
  • Extended experience in manufacturing, sales and marketing, engineering management, or finance-related positions.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills and excellent analytical ability to identify key opportunities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated with leadership energy and ability to hire, develop, and manage a team.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial skills.
  • Ability to embrace change and improvement culture.
  • Demonstrated judgment and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence to handle resistance with good interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • BS degree from an accredited college with a technical focus.
  • Extensive travel required.
