About the Role

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for the Regional Representative Director position working remotely but local to Louisiana. The role involves achieving sales goals, expanding market share within the region, and providing technical and sales training to support product representation. Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed the budget for sales as defined by the Regional Sales Manager within a predefined geographic territory with pre-assigned customer partners.
  • Develop, track, and maintain relationships with key accounts, mechanical contractors, trade bodies, local authorities, and government organizations to build long-term sales opportunities.
  • Monitor Rep targets weekly and communicate results to regional sales leadership.
  • Develop remedial action plans to meet or exceed customer development and sales targets on a weekly basis.
  • Be the channel expert on features, benefits, product performance, and design guidelines for Daikin's products sold in the United States, primarily VRV.
  • Become the VRV technical expert and resource for the Rep salesforce.
  • Conduct monthly sales meetings with the Rep sales team to monitor VRV + FiT sales progress.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews with the Rep leadership team.
  • Update customers and team on new products, changes, PMNs, and training events as they occur.
  • Provide sales application, installation, commissioning, and business development training and support, primarily for VRV.
  • Work closely with local authorities, associations, end users, and architects to build long-term sales opportunities.
  • Monitor project and customer development targets weekly and communicate results to sales leadership.
  • Manage Daikin resources to resolve customer concerns, including technical and application support.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and coordinate with other sales team members to expand VRV product opportunities.
  • Provide market and competitive intelligence to Daikin leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by sales leadership.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the department.
  • Provide leadership and direction to managers in respective divisions.
  • Participate in staffing, hiring, training, and evaluations.
  • Assist in budget development and expense monitoring.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of VRF sales management experience in a technical and specification-oriented sales environment.
  • Previous responsibility for managing a revenue budget of $5M to $10M is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering degree is a plus) or equivalent, preferred.
  • Highly technical VRF capabilities and experience with product selection software, primarily for VRV designs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas, concepts, and strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute consultative selling with salespeople.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and an open mind.
  • Customer and team-focused approach with collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills within a CRM environment (Microsoft 365 CRM).
  • Ability to negotiate agreements and work with C-level executives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong work ethics, sound judgment, and integrity.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Mechanical Engineering degree.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering degree is a plus) or equivalent, preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of VRF sales management experience.
