About the Role

As a Regional Sales Director, you will use your extensive sales and leadership experience to lead, coach and mentor a team of Senior Account Executives selling Workday's Solutions. You will be a key leader focused on driving new business for Workday, leading a team to navigate complex sales cycles, and employing effective selling strategies to position Workday as a preferred cloud partner in competition with legacy ERP solutions. The role is situated within the Enterprise Management Sales team at Workday, which values integrity, innovation, and a collaborative, employee-centric culture that supports growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Senior Account Executives selling Workday's Solutions.
  • Drive new business growth by leading a team focused on complex sales cycles.
  • Orchestrate internal teams including pre-sales, value management, bid management, inside sales, marketing, and sales support to close deals.
  • Employ effective selling strategies to position Workday as a viable cloud partner of choice.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2+ years of field sales management experience in a SaaS company, ideally focused on new business acquisition.
  • Over 10+ years of experience as a field sales representative.
  • Experience selling cloud, SaaS, or ERP solutions.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with successful revenue/quota attainment.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with partners and alliances.
  • Understanding of the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs.
  • Proven experience coordinating different business units to maximize sales.
  • Experience maintaining accurate forecasting data and business modeling for senior leadership.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
