About the Role

As a Regional Sales Director, you will use your extensive sales and leadership experience to lead, coach and mentor a team of Senior Account Executives selling Workday's Solutions. You will be a key leader focused on driving new business for Workday, leading a team to navigate complex sales cycles through orchestrating internal teams, and employing effective selling strategies to position Workday as a cloud partner of choice to replace legacy ERP solutions. The role is within the Enterprise Management Sales team at Workday, which values integrity, innovation, and a collaborative, employee-centric culture that supports growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Senior Account Executives selling Workday's Solutions.
  • Drive new business growth for Workday within assigned territory.
  • Manage complex sales cycles by orchestrating internal teams including pre-sales, value management, bid management, inside sales, marketing, and sales support.
  • Employ effective selling strategies to position Workday as a preferred cloud partner and alternative to legacy ERP solutions.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2+ years of field sales management experience at a SaaS company, ideally focused on new business acquisition.
  • Over 10+ years of experience as a field sales representative.
  • Experience selling cloud, SaaS, or ERP solutions.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of revenue and quota attainment.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with partners and alliances.
  • Understanding of the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs to position solutions effectively.
  • Proven experience coordinating different business units to maximize sales.
  • Experience maintaining accurate forecasting data and business models for senior leadership.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in field sales management (~2+ years).
  • Experience as a sales representative (~10+ years).
  • Proven success in managing complex sales cycles and achieving revenue targets.
