About the Role

The Renewal Sales Account Manager II role is a remote/teleworker position at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a global edge-to-cloud company that helps organizations connect, protect, analyze, and act on their data and applications from edge to cloud. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop customer/partner relationships; understand their needs, offer support services and advice, and monitor satisfaction.
  • Manage support services renewals, conversions, and upsells for an assigned set of smaller, less complex installed base accounts, acting efficiently to meet the order target.
  • Use basic account and renewal planning techniques and contractual support data analysis to provide relevant renewal quotes to customers and channel partners.
  • Own simple end-to-end renewal cycles, from planning and customer engagement to negotiating prices and closing deals.
  • Identify opportunities within accounts to upsell and replace installed base sales erosion.
  • React to competitive threats around their accounts.
  • Accurately forecast renewal orders, maintain pipeline and opportunities, and follow standard procedures and tools.
  • Engage with customers/partners through planned calls, face-to-face visits, and business reviews as part of account management.
  • Consult with extended account sales teams.
  • Prioritize and organize effectively to handle competing priorities and volume.
  • Manage the contractual relationship for support services, exercising independent judgment to develop relationships, manage account changes, and determine renewal proposals/negotiations.

Requirements

  • University or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience; a master's degree is desired.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in subscription-based renewals.
  • Basic relationship management, customer understanding, and escalation management skills.
  • Transactional approach to renewal planning.
  • Basic knowledge of support services, renewal management processes, data analysis, and tools.
  • Basic knowledge of the company's offerings, strategic initiatives, partner and competitor products and strategies within the solution set.
  • Shows sales potential and experience presenting less complex renewals.
  • Business and financial awareness.
  • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Educational background includes a university or bachelor's degree, with a master's preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in subscription renewals.
