We're looking for a Social Media Community Manager who will spend 70% of their time owning community management across Sam's Club social platforms and 30% creating social-first content. You'll play a key role in deepening relationships with our members while helping to shape how our brand shows up in culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage daily with members and prospects across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Reddit.
  • Write on-brand, timely, and authentic responses that make people feel seen.
  • Support social listening and real-time monitoring to identify moments that matter.
  • Create response libraries for campaigns, FAQs, and trending topics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and respond to emerging member issues.
  • Surface community insights and social trends to help inspire future content.
  • Concept, shoot, and edit short-form videos for platforms like TikTok and Reels.
  • Participate in brainstorms and pitch culturally relevant ideas for social.
  • Help bring our “Expect Something Special” mindset to life through creative storytelling.
  • Source and feature UGC and community-driven stories across our channels.
  • Maintain asset libraries and organize content for reporting and re-use.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in social media, community management, or content creation.
  • Experience with social media publishing and moderation tools (Sprinklr, Sprout, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of platform nuances and content best practices.
  • 6 months' experience in retail, contact center operations, or a related area.
  • 1 year of experience with basic computer processing/data entry software.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
