About the Role

The Retail Account Manager (RAM) Walmart - KEN'S role involves supporting and enhancing store compliance, in-stocks, and open sales in high POS opportunity stores. The position builds on the core store coverage team by providing additional expertise to improve store performance, develop strategic relationships, and drive sales through promotional tools and effective communication with store and regional partners. The role emphasizes understanding client objectives, leveraging data, and creating value-added presentations to influence decision-making within the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of client's business, objectives, category, marketplace, and competitors. Complete all required training.
  • Leverage and translate data and in-store findings to create fact-based presentations and robust value-added decks to influence decision making.
  • Develop effective working relationships with Ken contacts and Acosta Management team, identifying and finding solutions for issues and opportunities impacting store performance and On Shelf Availability (OSA).
  • Increase sales volume using promotional tools available and develop a monthly communication strategy addressing Walmart SCOG, FOT, and Seasonal features, integrating pallet and open stock offers.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for all specified focus/problem stores within the RAM territory to drive availability and agreements through store manager meetings.
  • Plan store visits efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Engage store and market influencers and decision makers to agree on plans to drive OSA.
  • Support the Market Manager by creating and implementing solutions to improve category availability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Market and Regional AP / Shrink Managers for long-term solutions.
  • Capture and pass on feedback from discussions with store and regional managers of key retail partners.
  • Capture and report data insights daily and weekly, creating business case studies for share and reapplication across retailers.
  • Attend semi-monthly team meetings to deliver business updates.
  • Handle and store all Ken and Acosta products and equipment securely according to company policy.
  • Develop action plans and engage appropriate store, market, and regional contacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the marketplace and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with key decision makers.
  • Effective communication skills, highly able to influence without authority, leveraging store insights.
  • Strong presentation skills, entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, determination, and persistence.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a car for extended periods.
  • Must be available for overnight travel.
  • Must be available for weekend work.
  • Must be able to work nights and holidays.
  • Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and thorough knowledge of web-based applications.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of financial operational processes.
