About the Role

The Sales Account Executive is a client facing outside sales role operating within an assigned region, responsible for identifying and managing client accounts and business opportunities for Eurofins Environment Testing Division. The role involves traveling throughout the region to meet with clients, cold calling, and cultivating relationships, with a focus on indoor air quality laboratory testing in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services to ensure safety, authenticity, and accuracy across various industries, committed to health, safety, environmental protection, and diversity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize market share, profitability, competitive advantage, and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with Eurofins clients.
  • Provide vision and acquire new accounts to sustain business growth by representing Eurofins and communicating its services to new customers and markets.
  • Identify opportunities and profitable work by following up on leads, negotiating, and closing sales.
  • Communicate customer needs to internal teams and act as a customer advocate.
  • Meet individual revenue goals and regional sales targets.
  • Develop and implement account plans with specific clients, revenue goals, and account objectives.
  • Establish, coordinate, negotiate, and complete Master Service Agreements with customers.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and resolve collection issues.
  • Review credit status of customers prior to bids or proposals.
  • Develop strategies for pricing, bid/no bid decisions, and budgetary information.
  • Develop client profiles and determine potential funding for work.
  • Track and close leads to increase revenue.
  • Update customer databases to identify business opportunities.
  • Report sales activity and develop sales forecasts for the region.
  • Communicate all business opportunities and follow up on bids, quotes, and proposals.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of the environmental industry, specifically indoor air quality laboratory testing.
  • Experience in outside sales, client relationship management, and business development.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive approach to cold calling and lead generation.
  • Ability to develop and implement account plans and strategies.
  • Experience with managing customer accounts and closing sales.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in environmental analytical services or laboratory testing.
  • Existing network of contacts within the environmental industry in the assigned region.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in outside sales or business development roles.
  • Understanding of environmental testing services preferred.
