About the Role

The Sales Account Manager II at Univar Solutions is responsible for growing the business with new and existing customers by matching customer needs with a broad product portfolio, supported by digital tools, technical experts, specialized market expertise, and a global distribution network. This role involves consultative selling, building strong customer relationships, and managing sales territories to drive growth and customer satisfaction. The position is based in Corpus Christi, TX, offering flexibility to work in a dynamic environment within a leading global chemical and ingredients distributor committed to sustainability, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers by managing and growing accounts.
  • Find new opportunities, win new business, and grow the territory through sales prospecting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver top-tier service, technical support, and safe, innovative solutions to customers.
  • Prioritize selling time and results to effectively manage the sales funnel and territory.
  • Be relentless in winning back lost customers.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a similar role within the B2B sales environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships and achieving sales targets.
  • Self-directed, outcome-focused, and able to take initiative and act decisively.
  • Good listener with curiosity and passion for learning about customer needs, solving problems, and winning business.
  • Ability to plan and prepare for effective sales calls, make persuasive presentations, handle objections, negotiate, demonstrate value, and close deals.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the chemical or ingredients distribution industry.
