About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Marketing Associate to join our team at a leading tobacco manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving sales, supporting marketing initiatives, expanding market share, and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders in compliance with all applicable regulations. Individuals in this role will strive to promote the company, products and services through excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome new and prospective clients, guide them through new products and onboarding, answer any questions and ensure a pleasant experience.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and assist in the development of sales strategies to achieve business targets.
  • Contribute to volume, share, and profit targets through utilization of all relevant resources; identify ways to improve marketing and sales techniques.
  • Monitor sales performance, generate reports, and provide insights to improve revenue and market presence.
  • Visit client sites regularly to ensure product availability, visibility, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the production, warehouse and quality teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery of quality products.
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities within the legal framework of the tobacco industry.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
  • Assist with organizing promotional events and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and customer engagement events.
  • Understand the needs and expectations of our customer base to meet them where they are, resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive understanding of industry dynamics within the sales region and implement plans to maximize sales potential.
  • Take ownership of individual performance and actively participate in a high-performance team culture to hit and exceed team targets.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives to provide competitive advantages.
  • Research competitors' products and services and conduct market research to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Perform all tasks given by management to support the efficient operation of the department/team.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • An associate's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience in sales or marketing with background in a regulated industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills with a solid understanding of marketing processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Business-to-Business (B2B) sales strategies and retail distribution channels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient use of computers, phones, and office equipment for communication and data entry.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during office work, facility tours, or client visits.
  • Occasional ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Capability to work in a manufacturing environment during plant visits, including exposure to noise, odors, and varying temperatures.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client visits and promotional events.
  • Comfort working in a regulated and compliance-driven industry.
