About the Role

The Sales and Marketing Insights Intern at Land O'Lakes will join a Fortune 250 agribusiness and food production leader with over 100 years of operations as a farmer-and member-owned cooperative. The internship offers hands-on experience in sales, marketing, insights, and analytics within a company that spans crop insight, animal nutrition, dairy foods, and sustainability solutions. Interns will have opportunities to network, view state-of-the-art facilities, and work on business-critical projects, gaining skills to support their career development and potentially transition into full-time roles.

Key Responsibilities

Support key customers such as Target, Kroger, Walmart, Publix, Stop & Shop, and Sysco by analyzing product assortments and presenting opportunities for increased distribution.
Create presentations for buyers with promotion strategy recommendations.
Support the Research, Insights, and Analytics team by leveraging data and insights to grow the business.
Learn and apply category management techniques, data visualization, and data analysis skills.
Create data-driven selling stories to support new item innovation and analyze promotion and pricing strategies.
Utilize market research in the restaurant industry to identify opportunities for innovation.
Participate in rotations in Sales and Insights & Analytics, supporting cross-functional projects and learning about the retail and foodservice channels.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as a Junior, graduating in May 2027 or December 2026.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Sales, Business, or a related field.
Interest in a career in Sales, Marketing, Category Management, or Research & Insights.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, charting).
Exposure to data analysis, market research, or storytelling with data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective planning, organization, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Nice to Have

Prior experience in a sales, retail, or foodservice environment.
Previous internship in a related field.
Involvement in student organizations or community leadership roles.
Familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with retailer or syndicated data (Circana or Nielsen).
Ability to influence and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

Enrolled as a Junior, graduating in May 2027 or December 2026.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.

Compensation of $24/hr.
