About the Role

The Sales Business Analyst role is responsible for providing timely reporting and insight on the regional sales data and activities. Directly supporting a dedicated sales region and leadership team, you will drive the development and implementation of sales analytics and data strategy, while identifying trends and recommending solutions or processes to enable sales effectiveness. The goal is to increase analytical capabilities and drive actionable insights aligned with sales business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior sales leaders while becoming an expert on the assigned regions' performance, key metrics, and top initiatives.
  • Become a subject matter expert across online tools, reports, and dashboards, providing training and support to ensure sales understanding and best practice adherence.
  • Provide proactive, timely, and actionable analytics focused on improving sales productivity by highlighting trends and key indicators across the sales region.
  • Manage month and quarter-end processes ensuring all business transactions are accurate.
  • Communicate sales processes, operational updates, and best practices within the region, actively participating in operations reviews and team meetings to present key findings.
  • Enhance the capability to analyze large data sets, presenting findings visually to tell a data-driven story that informs decision-making.
  • Design, develop, and support various daily, weekly, and monthly reports, sharing best practices across the SBA team and sales regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; Masters or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, visualization, business intelligence, or analytical consulting.
  • Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience working with different data sources with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and with little direction, demonstrating initiative.
  • Comfortable partnering, influencing, and building trust-based relationships with senior sales leaders.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and manage ambiguity and change.
  • Teachable attitude and openness to feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Proactive thinker who uses data to tell a story with actionable insights.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with business intelligence tools and dashboards.
  • Experience in sales analytics or supporting sales teams.

Qualifications

  • Educational background including a preferred Bachelor's degree, with a Masters or advanced degree being a plus.
