About the Role

As a Hotel Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales and revenue growth for the hotel. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. You will work closely with departments throughout the hotel and ensure that all sales initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives. You will also be responsible for analyzing market trends and competitor activity to identify areas for growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Corporate and Group Sales for the hotel.
  • Set goals and determine action plans to meet those goals based on the hotel's business strategies.
  • Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
  • Represent Hotels in various events and exhibitions.
  • Implement all sales action plans related to market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Conduct daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
  • Provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, and develop professional long-term business relationships.
  • Support hotel service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence.
  • Work closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
  • Develop strong relationships with on-property front office team to ensure unity and shared goals.
  • Attend all department and hotel meetings as necessary.
  • Target key accounts potential for the company.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
  • Engage in activities such as sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Develop relationships within the community to expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Acquire and develop new business accounts and prepare sales proposals for clients.
  • Follow up on all business leads within a 24-hour response time to clients.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional areas.
  • Strong background in sales and hospitality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in hotel or hospitality sales.
  • Knowledge of market trends and competitor activity.
