About the Role

The Sales Manager Complex at HEI Hotels & Resorts is responsible for managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and revenue goals. The role involves soliciting new group sales accounts, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and coordinating with hotel departments to ensure high-quality service. The position is based at The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa, which offers a luxurious environment with diverse amenities and a culture dedicated to associate well-being, growth, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form, to previous, current, and potential clients.
  • Handle account details to ensure all aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented, coordinating various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as appropriate to generate potential business.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all hotel departments to ensure high service quality.
  • Participate in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training, and other sales-related meetings.
  • Attend trade shows, community events, and industry meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and key customers of the hotel.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of past sales experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, specifically in catering sales, is essential.
  • Experience at a similar size and quality hotel is required.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
  • Knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, and team motivation.
  • Understanding of hotel features, benefits, and market competition.
  • Ability to execute action plans and work effectively under time constraints.
