About the Role

Squarespace is seeking a Sales Manager to hire, build, and lead a brand-new team of Account Executives focused on net new logo acquisition. This is a rare opportunity to be a founding member of a completely new, strategic sales motion at a globally recognized, product-led company. You will be given the autonomy to help hire the team from scratch and shape the strategy and direction for how Squarespace proactively acquires new logos in a brand new GTM motion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to recruit, hire, and onboard a high-performing team of Account Executives, establishing a culture of success, accountability, and continuous learning from day one.
  • Architect and implement the sales strategy and playbook for new business acquisition, including sales methodologies, engagement processes, and performance metrics.
  • Provide daily, hands-on coaching to your reps on the frontlines, including participating in business-joining calls, helping move deals forward, and offering real-time feedback.
  • Lead your team to consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, including accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Product teams to ensure alignment, optimize lead flow, and provide feedback to inform GTM strategy.
  • Champion the use of sales tech stack tools (Salesforce, Gong, etc.) to drive efficiency and leverage data for coaching and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 3-4+ years in a sales management or team lead role, preferably in a high-velocity SMB environment with a focus on net new logo acquisition.
  • Proven success in building and scaling a team focused on new logo acquisition, including hiring and developing top-performing Account Executives.
  • Deep 'player-coach' mentality with a passion for daily coaching, call reviews, and actively involved in team deals.
  • Experience in creating sales playbooks, processes, and methodologies from an early stage.
  • Expertise in pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and using data to drive team performance.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and modern AI-driven sales tools (e.g., Gong, Clay, Momentum, Onum).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of managing high-performance teams.
  • A builder's mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and excited by creating new processes and strategies.

  • Experience in high-velocity SMB sales environments.
  • Familiarity with GTM strategy development and execution.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
