Job Description

About the Role

The Sales Manager North America will be part of Baker Hughes' BRUSH Power Generation team, responsible for developing and promoting industrial generator solutions, including synchronous condensers, to customers in the NAM region. The role involves technical sales, market development, and customer engagement to drive business growth in the energy technology sector within a global company committed to safer, cleaner, and more efficient energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originating sales by positioning Baker Hughes synchronous condenser technology and identifying the best industrial solution.
  • Promoting the business value proposition of BRUSH technology.
  • Working in close cooperation with regional sales, account sales, and commercial proposal staff, including being the primary technical role involved in demand to inquiry (DTI).
  • Increasing market penetration through technical support during pre-ITO stages.
  • Handling products and systems requiring thorough technical knowledge and understanding of the environment where the products will be used.
  • Managing complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders both at the client side and internally.
  • Collaborating with technical colleagues to respond to customer requests and discuss local conditions across a large territory.

Requirements

  • A technical degree and 5+ years of technical sales experience with industrial generators, synchronous condensers, or similar equipment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an inclusive working style.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal organization and external customers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% throughout North America.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in energy or power generation industries.
  • Knowledge of energy technology solutions and systems.

Qualifications

  • A technical degree.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience in relevant energy or industrial systems.
