About the Role

The Senior Account Executive Soccer Specialty at PUMA is responsible for managing wholesale accounts within the soccer and sports industry, providing technical expertise, developing strong relationships, and driving sales growth in designated territories. The role involves extensive travel, product presentations, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to promote the brand and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively throughout designated territory calling on all assigned soccer specialty accounts, sometimes on weekends for key events.
  • Provide the highest level of service and technical expertise from sell-in to sell-through.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with accounts in the territory as well as internal stakeholders to help drive the business.
  • Manage all aspects of the business for wholesale account list including product presentations, product trainings, business planning, order entry, and operational tasks.
  • Manage order book and ensure timely shipping of products.
  • Plan shop merchandising and sell-through strategies.
  • Achieve annual sales volume and channel distribution targets for the territory.
  • Provide weekly account updates and sales tracking to the Sales Director.
  • Develop, grow, and manage the team uniform business by directly selling to youth soccer clubs, schools, and other groups needing soccer uniforms.
  • Work in conjunction with the soccer specialty partner to provide product and brand training throughout the territory.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in an outside sales role, preferably in the soccer and/or sports industry.
  • College degree preferred; former soccer player at college and/or professional level is preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of soccer footwear, equipment (balls, guards, GK gloves), and apparel.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI).
  • High level of energy and professionalism.
  • Exceptional follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Ability to convincingly present products and brands using PowerPoint and spreadsheet tools.
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with managing wholesale accounts and developing business plans.
  • Experience working with youth soccer clubs, schools, or similar groups.
  • Technical knowledge of soccer equipment and apparel.

Qualifications

  • College degree (preferred).
  • Experience in outside sales, preferably in sports or soccer industry.

  • Base pay range of $99,200-$163,700 plus bonus and benefits.
