About the Role

The Senior Account Executive, Super-Regional at Visa is responsible for identifying and implementing partnership opportunities and new sales within a large US Financial Institution's payments business, primarily focusing on the Consumer Credit line of business. The role involves increasing Visa's alignment, engagement, and revenue through strategic initiatives, building and strengthening relationships across the organization, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals. This position offers the opportunity to make an impact in a purpose-driven industry leader and to contribute to innovative payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Visa consultant to a top tier US issuer and manage the client's Consumer Credit, money movement, and digital enablement strategies for Visa products and services.
  • Drive the strategy, pipeline, and agenda for the areas of responsibility and provide leadership and focus to drive results.
  • Develop and execute customized account plans to increase revenue and market share with the client.
  • Deepen the client relationship with Value Added Services by identifying strategic opportunities through client engagement.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the segment and customer's business needs and deliver value to the client and their customers.
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge and technical aptitude on Visa products and services.
  • Influence the client's vision for the future of electronic payments, consistent with Visa's strategies.
  • Continuously review client strategies and market landscapes to recommend, develop, and implement new approaches that meet business objectives.
  • Proactively identify and solve complex problems impacting business management and relationships.
  • Lead and manage on-site client visits, prepare presentations, proposals, and negotiate contractual relationships.
  • Develop in-depth relationships with key client decision-makers.
  • Motivate and inspire Visa SMEs to support client goals.
  • Manage client-reported issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Focus on execution and deliverables, with a proven record of exceeding goals.

Requirements

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years with a PhD.
  • Deep expertise in payments products, specifically Credit, money movement, and digital capabilities.
  • Experience in solution sales with a track record of delivering results and managing complex sales efforts.
  • Ability to implement strategic initiatives, policies, and operational decisions.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to broad audiences.
  • Experience managing relationships and cultivating trusted partnerships with clients and partners.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to influence across multiple organizational levels.
  • Excellent presentation skills and executive presence, comfortable presenting to C-suite audiences.

  • Experience in the payments industry with related sales and management experience.
  • Knowledge of Visa Value Added Services and internal systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 15 or more years of experience or an Advanced Degree with 12 or more years of experience.
  • Additional experience in sales and management within the payments industry.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $153,800 to $278,800 USD per year, potentially including sales incentives.
  • Bonus and equity eligibility.

  • Work hours vary based on department needs.
  • Travel requirement of 5-10%.
