About the Role

Bloomberg Live Experiences builds on Bloomberg Media's legacy by creating immersive, news-driven events that ignite ideas, challenge perspectives, and shape the future of industry. The role involves helping to grow the company's commercial event business across the U.S., focusing on delivering high-value sponsorships and event integrations through a strategic, relationship-driven approach. The position is based in New York and is integral to Bloomberg's mission of providing real-time insights and fostering impactful conversations that move markets and minds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with potential clients to generate new event sponsorship opportunities.
  • Engage clients and stakeholders with insightful questions to uncover business needs and tailor event solutions accordingly.
  • Articulate Bloomberg's unique market position and event offering to drive client interest and deal closure.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring a premium, white-glove experience from proposal through post-event wrap-up.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to seamlessly execute event deliverables and exceed client expectations.
  • Manage renewals and upsells to expand client partnerships and support long-term growth across BLE and Bloomberg's broader ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in event sales or a closely related field.
  • Proven track record of revenue growth through consultative sales.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce (MediaCloud preferred), Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Slack—or a quick learner of new tools.
  • Excellent presentation skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to structure and close complex deals.
  • Ability to use events as a platform to deepen engagement and drive broader commitments across Bloomberg business lines.
  • Experience managing direct sales and collaborating with account teams on shared clients.
