About the Role

We are seeking a high-energy and experienced Senior Account Manager to work with top research universities and institutes in the Midwest. This role focuses on managing relationships, driving revenue, and promoting the adoption of NVIDIA's platform to support groundbreaking research across diverse scientific domains. The position offers an opportunity to operate at the intersection of science and technology, empowering researchers and contributing to advancements in AI, climate science, healthcare, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of account strategy creation and implementation, forecasting, sales account management, and research engagement with large university customers in the territory
  • Be the key point of contact and relationship owner for a defined set of university customers
  • Build key accounts into strategic partners, and drive sustaining revenue, market share growth, and product footprint
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to universities, communicating NVIDIA's vision, technology, and research impact
  • Develop relationships with senior university leaders to align NVIDIA's platform with institutional research priorities and drive large-scale adoption
  • Forge strong connections with leading research labs and Principal Investigators across diverse scientific domains (e.g., AI/ML, life sciences, physical sciences, climate science, engineering)
  • Understand their grand challenges and explore how NVIDIA's platform and expertise can accelerate discovery and scientific outcomes
  • Contribute to the long-term success of the HER vertical by being a collaborative leader amongst peers
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving HER landscape, scientific trends, and NVIDIA's technology stack
  • Ability to travel 20% or more as needed

Requirements

  • BS degree, or equivalent experience, and a demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning
  • 10+ years experience selling to senior executives, research principal investigators, and IT at leading research universities
  • A genuine passion for science, technology, and the mission of accelerating research
  • High energy, self-motivation, and ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Existing relationships in the target universities
  • A passion for achieving results in a dynamic sales and technology environment
  • Demonstrated track record leading significant revenue opportunities and overachieving targets
  • Ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically, and communicate effectively (both written and verbal)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and business acumen
  • Located in the Midwest

Nice to Have

  • Experience with scientific research environments and research funding processes
  • Knowledge of NVIDIA's technology stack and platform

Qualifications

  • Educational background with a BS degree or equivalent experience

  • Competitive cash compensation range of $224,000 - $391,000 USD, with 85% base salary and 15% variable pay
