About the Role

The Senior Account Manager, Walgreens Advertising Group, is responsible for growing and developing a team of Account Managers to partner with Walgreens Advertising Group clients in achieving their advertising goals. The role involves coaching the team in creating high-performing media plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute responsibilities aligned with department strategies, and enabling the Account Management function to scale and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes operational activities that impact the direction of the specified functional area of eCommerce and/or the organization, including areas such as Digital Merchandising, Operations, Photo, eHealth, User Experience, Strategy, or Marketing.
  • Defines, deploys, and institutionalizes research approaches and related knowledge bases within the functional area.
  • Forecasts and assesses industry trends and their impact on designs and methods of the functional area.
  • Establishes research guidelines, best practices, and standards, and analyzes, summarizes, and presents results to functional teams and decision makers.
  • Serves on the functional area team for strategically important initiatives and develops programs to establish and enhance standards.
  • Interprets complex results, analyzes trends, and identifies relationships with internal/external partners.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for the functional area and may become involved to meet schedules and resolve highly complex problems.
  • Develops and implements improvements to processes and determines business approaches or develops major new technical tools.
  • Shares complex information related to areas of expertise and evangelizes new ideas or solutions to gain acceptance.
  • Guides and mentors a wide range of audiences, providing subject matter expertise and participating in teaching and training activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in Merchandising, Marketing, eCommerce, Strategy, Healthcare, Analytics, Finance, and/or Operations, or high school / GED with at least 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all organizational levels, in the business community, and with vendors.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive results and find solutions.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience with project management, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve project goals.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various organizational levels.
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership, or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.

Nice to Have

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing clients and relationships.
  • At least 2 years of managing people.
  • Experience supporting the development of processes and best practices.
  • Experience as an omni-channel strategy lead with programmatic, paid social and search, onsite, and email.
  • Retail Media Account Management experience (e.g., Kroger Precision, Roundel, Walmart Connect).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in relevant fields, or high school / GED with at least 9 years of experience.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $102,800 - $164,400, depending on experience and other factors.
