Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of quantitative and qualitative primary consumer research efforts.
  • Translate research into meaningful and actionable insights for the C-suite.
  • Communicate research recommendations to internal consulting teams working on complex strategy cases.
  • Contribute to client projects by designing, executing, and synthesizing research to inform strategy and innovation.
  • Support commercialization efforts for CCI by providing insights and advice for proposals and client workshops.
  • Develop intellectual property, including original research and publications.
  • Create best practice training materials for customer insights and research.
  • Improve BCG's proprietary frameworks, build methodologies and tools, and guide generalist consultants on research execution.
  • Develop state-of-the-art tools in collaboration with Knowledge Team peers.
  • Occasionally travel to serve clients onsite and understand client requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of consulting experience in primary customer research (strongly preferred) or 3+ years of industry experience (4-6+ years strongly preferred).
  • Direct experience using quantitative research to address business problems; experience with qualitative research and social listening is a plus.
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of consumer research, including designing approaches, writing questionnaires, managing fieldwork, developing analytic plans, conducting data analysis, and preparing deliverables.
  • Proficiency with research methodologies such as segmentation, MaxDiff, TURF, conjoint, derived importance, focus groups, online communities, etc.
  • Mastery of Excel; familiarity with Alteryx, SPSS, Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience in sectors like Financial Services, Insurance, Technology, Media, or Telecommunications is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish a plus.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous environment, with flexibility and a curious, creative mindset.
  • Proficiency in working collaboratively in virtual and agile team settings.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social listening.
  • Experience in Financial Services, Insurance, Technology, Media, or Telecommunications sectors.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Alteryx, SPSS, Tableau.
  • Fluency in Spanish.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of consulting experience in primary customer research or 3+ years of industry experience.

  • Base salary between $115,700- $119,500 (USD), depending on experience and skill level.
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-24%.
  • 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service, vested immediately.
