About the Role

The Senior Analyst for the Consumer Insights (Vantage) team at BCG plays a critical role in leveraging syndicated and big data sources to generate strategic insights for clients. The role involves contributing to the expansion and commercialization of insights products, guiding their use in client projects, and collaborating with internal teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that support client priorities. The position is embedded within BCG Vantage, a powerhouse of expertise that provides proprietary data, insights, and tools to drive client impact across multiple sectors and practice areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triangulate insights from multiple data sources and methodologies to uncover high-impact insights for BCG clients.
  • Contribute to the expansion and commercialization of CCI's 'insights infusion' products, including syndicated customer data, digital/social/search analytics, cultural insights, and consumer foresight.
  • Act as a connector between insights infusion products and BCG case teams, educating colleagues on their value and guiding their application in strategic engagements.
  • Deploy insights tools directly on client cases, customizing applications based on client context and objectives.
  • Develop and implement roadmaps for insights products and tools.
  • Support IP development, go-to-market enablement, and knowledge dissemination of insights offerings across BCG's network.
  • Partner with topic leaders and knowledge experts to refine research-driven products and position them as essential enablers for client success.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of consulting experience involving syndicated customer data and/or big data or behavioral data, or 3+ years of market research agency experience (4-6+ years strongly preferred).
  • Strong familiarity with secondary, syndicated, and digital data sources such as Nielsen/IRI, Mintel, Morning Consult, YouGov's BrandIndex, social listening, search analytics, consumer foresight, and cultural tracking platforms.
  • Solid foundation in primary research methodology (quantitative and/or qualitative) with the ability to connect insights across data types.
  • Experience translating data into strategic implications and commercial opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in marketing, behavioral science, analytics, or related fields is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data tools like Alteryx, Tableau, SPSS, Q, R is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in virtual, agile environments and navigate complexity and ambiguity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sectors such as CPG, Retail, Tech, Media, Financial Services, or Travel & Leisure.
  • Passion for leveraging technology in consumer insights, including image recognition and analytics.
  • Experience with deploying insights tools in client settings and customizing applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree in marketing, behavioral science, analytics, or related fields is a plus.
