About the Role

The Value-Based Care Analytics Product Manager, Senior leads the design, development, implementation, and operational oversight of analytics products and solutions. This position requires engaging with key business owners and stakeholders to align analytics solutions with enterprise-wide clinical, operational, and financial objectives that support the health system's transition to value-based care. The role involves enhancing patient outcomes, supporting care teams and care transformation, improving operational efficiency, and enabling the shift to value-based contracting. It demands an understanding of varied data sources, coordination between clinical, operational, and technical teams, and leveraging agile methodologies to optimize patient care and support the health system's transition to value-driven care models. The role is part of the Value-Based Care Institute (VBCI) products and analytics team and works with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute analytics products and solutions that support human experience, are scalable, and support care model, clinical, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics products and solutions, from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with care delivery, value-based care, population health, and health plan initiatives.
  • Align analytics products and solutions with enterprise-wide strategic priorities.
  • Engage subject matter experts and stakeholders in the development of analytics products and solutions.
  • Translate analytics needs into product and solution requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure training, education, and best practices related to modern analytics solutions are developed and delivered.
  • Ensure analytics products and solutions meet operational needs for care delivery and value-based care objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop a culture of data quality and data integrity and monitor product performance to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Formal training or work experience in healthcare industry with direct experience in data and analytics products and solutions including analysis, report development, and dashboard creation.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience; a bachelor’s degree considered equivalent to 3 years, a master’s degree to an additional 1 year, and a doctorate to an additional 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and a passion to improve health outcomes.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation through a product mindset and matrix-organizational structure.
  • Experience working closely with senior leaders and communicating complex analysis to non-technical decision-makers.
  • Success in managing analytics solutions from concept to launch.
  • Experience with agile development, human-centered design, and digital transformation.
  • Ability to engage with technical teams.
  • Curiosity to understand operational workflows and engage stakeholders for better solutions.
  • Commitment to continuous learning within cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of healthcare systems, value-based care, population health, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows and operations related to value-based care and population health.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) such as Epic, Cerner, eCW, Allscripts, Athena.
  • Experience with population health management platforms like Epic’s Value Based Care, Innovaccer, Arcadia, Lightbeam.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Relevant formal training in product development and healthcare operations may be considered.
