Senior Category Development Manager, Walmart Team

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Category Development team to ensure results and goals are met.
• Maintain strong working relationships with Walmart merchants and cross-functional teams to support key objectives, goals, and business outcomes.
• Support Walmart Buyers in developing a category strategy both in-store and online.
• Lead planogram recommendations to increase modular efficiency, conversion, and improve shopability and space-to-sales leveraging JDA and Shelf IQ technology.
• Lead regular reporting to highlight performance gaps and growth opportunities.
• Use various data sources including syndicated data and retailer POS; research to solve current business issues, define category and consumer trends, and identify business opportunities and competitive threats.
• Translate data analysis into fact-based recommendations.
• Assume expert role and ownership of assigned tools, processes, and tasks.

Requirements

• Proven 5 years' experience in Category Management, preferably in an advisory role in CPG or Adult Beverage Categories.
• Extensive knowledge of Reset processes and Space Management.
• People management experience.
• Strong technical capabilities with experience in software systems relevant to the Category Management function including space planning software (JDA and Shelf IQ) and syndicated data sources.
• Advanced computer skills; highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, Alteryx experience is a plus.
• Ability to connect insight to actionable store execution.
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

• Experience with Alteryx.
