About the Role

Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is seeking a Senior Copywriter to own and execute copy for creative studio projects across omni channel work streams, partnering closely with the internal design team for creative solutions to marketing briefs in order to achieve business goals. The ideal candidate has a passion for brand and performance marketing, is well versed in the sports and digital products space with a deep understanding of best practices in copywriting across channels. This role reports to FBG's VP of Creative. This position requires an avid problem solver who thrives in an innovative, fast moving and integrated environment with a one-team mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountability to concepts and messaging for all briefed projects
  • Interrogate briefs in partnership with creative ops and ensures clarity of business goals
  • Ensure excellent, compelling, and effective creative executions that deliver against each brief
  • Own messaging from concept to completion - following the global brand direction and brand voice
  • Execute copy direction and partner closely with designers to create comprehensive creative solutions
  • Have a deep understanding of channels and touchpoints to ensure copy and concepts are relevant across all placements
  • Partner with Brand and Ops teams to support onboarding of additional copywriters as needed
  • Mentor assistant writers and share practical skills to the larger org that produces copy
  • Write appealing copy that attracts, inspires and engages our consumers
  • Execute writing of headlines, sub-headlines, and body copy across marketing comms
  • Review all work for quality control and brand alignment before sharing with Sr leaders
  • Participate in brainstorms and concepting with Lead Designer (if designated as Copy Lead)
  • Leverage research as a guideline to iterate concepts and copy to ensure efficacy
  • Write concept set-ups and overview details in initial concept decks if requested
  • Present to stakeholders when requested
  • Collaborate with key functional partners, including Design, Brand Strategy, Creative Ops, CRM, Product content writers and Channel marketing teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital Comms or combination of relevant education, experience and training
  • 6-8 years of creative and channel copywriting experience, preferably in the sports category
  • Highly organized, results-driven and an expert at managing interdisciplinary creative workstreams
  • Proficient in Google suite and tools, with expertise in tools supporting digital workflows including Figma and Airtable
  • Comfortable in a highly matrixed and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, and reliably meet deadlines
  • Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings

  • Salary range from $96,000 to $119,000 (USD), subject to change based on geographical zone
