Senior Data Analytics Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify analytic needs, define requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
• Independently develop, validate, and maintain complex data models, dashboards, and reports supporting safety, risk, and compliance assessments.
• Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques to uncover trends, detect anomalies, and evaluate operational effectiveness.
• Design and implement data quality checks and cleansing procedures to ensure analysis integrity and reliability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in business intelligence tools and data platforms to promote self-service analytics.
• Translate complex data into visual stories that inform strategic decision-making for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Support enterprise risk management by providing insights on internal controls and mitigation strategies.
• Lead efforts to integrate new data sources and automate recurring reports to improve efficiency.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
• Coach and mentor analysts to foster a high-performance analytics culture.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in an analytical role.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or Information Technology, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience.
• Thorough understanding of the airline industry and audit programs.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large data sets.
• Knowledge of business intelligence functions including analytics, data mining, reporting, data cleansing, and data modeling.
• Experience working with disparate data sources, data blending, and advanced database functions.
• Expertise in visualization techniques, dashboard design, and decision support tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Modeling proficiency in cluster analysis and linear regression.
• Proficiency with data query tools like SSRS, TOAD, Alteryx, Access, Tableau.
• Strong problem-solving, conceptual, and analytical abilities.
• Self-starter with ownership of work, able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to Have

• Experience using coding languages such as C++, C#, VBA, Python, or R.
• Basic optimization or simulation model development.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of analytical experience.
