The Senior Data & Content Strategist role is integral to enhancing the company's digital presence, especially on Amazon, by optimizing content, improving search rankings, and driving organic sales in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, audit, and track eContent including ownership of eContent changes and uploads for current and new items.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Brand teams to develop digital content strategies and assets, ensuring alignment with company initiatives and channel-specific needs.
  • Incorporate consumer reviews and questions into content development recommendations and socialize insights across the organization.
  • Review competitor brands to identify opportunities and assess merchandising tactics.
  • Develop gap and opportunity analyses of digital content performance, set KPIs, and monitor content performance with actionable insights.
  • Maintain and update the Digital Shelf platform (CommerceIQ), monitor content performance, and conduct content audits and competitor activity analysis.
  • Lead onsite audits and track critical issues of Amazon retail pages, collaborating on recommended updates.
  • Manage Amazon Vendor Central content and syndication platform assets.
  • Oversee demand-driving activities including merchandising/promotional calendar management, execution, and auditing.
  • Design and execute digital coupons, track ROI, and support product launches and demand events.
  • Report on SnS metrics, support product assortment variation strategies, and coordinate forecasting and ordering for new launches.
  • Co-own the launch of new products, optimize product pages and brand stores regularly, and gather assets for site setup.
  • Develop module recommendations for A+ Content and co-own enhanced content initiatives.
  • Maintain the merchandising calendar, execute brand store posts, and analyze storefronts for shopper insights.
  • Foster relationships with Amazon team members, work with the National Account Manager on content troubleshooting, and perform quarterly audits of IDQ and hidden keywords reports.
  • Use SKAI and Vendor Central insights to improve keyword ranking and organic search performance, aligning content with digital media strategies.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of professional experience, including 3-5 years in Amazon and/or eCommerce (Vendor Central required).
  • Familiarity with Amazon marketing capabilities and other brick-and-click retailers such as WMT.com and TGT.com.
  • Experience with content management systems (Syndigo, Salsify) and DAM platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in navigating complex data and technology systems, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities based on company and customer strategies.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with Amazon marketing tools such as AMC and DSP.
  • Experience with US retailer merchandising and digital principles to drive traffic and conversion.
  • Technical skills and high aptitude for learning new software and systems.
