About the Role

The Senior Director, Marketing & Communications Manager at BNY is a leadership role within the Corporate Marketing & Communications team, responsible for guiding segment-focused marketing efforts across key customer groups such as Wealth Intermediaries, Asset Owners, and Alts Investment Managers. Located in New York City with a hybrid work model, this role involves developing and executing integrated marketing strategies to drive growth, engagement, and loyalty, working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams in a global financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the segment marketing strategy aligned with business goals, customer insights, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of segment marketers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Oversee campaign planning and execution across channels (digital, direct, third party), tailored to customer segment needs.
  • Leverage data and insights to develop personas, map customer journeys, and create targeted content and messaging.
  • Partner closely with Product, Sales, Digital, Analytics, and Brand teams to ensure cohesive marketing execution.
  • Define KPIs, monitor campaign performance, and optimize strategies for acquisition, retention, and growth.
  • Manage segment marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Partner with leadership, sales, product development, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on key initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of results through collaboration and shared goals across departments.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in a senior marketing role with deep understanding of customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Track record of success managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, prioritize decisions, and successfully manage multiple projects in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace innovation and manage change.
  • Strong communicator, able to build consensus and drive results through collaboration, influence, and persuasion.
