About the Role

As a member of the Product Management team at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., the Senior Director Product Manager - AI SW is responsible for directing a comprehensive product strategy focused on AI software, including GenAI, Voice AI, and Perception AI. The role involves mapping strategies to various OS and business units to drive product conception and definition through end of life, promoting the use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.

Key Responsibilities

Defining ML inference optimization solutions roadmap encompassing AI/GenAI technology, hardware, and software across multiple platforms and product lines.
Consistently and sustainably advancing the state of AI, including setting and executing roadmaps for 6-month plus timeframes.
Working towards long-term research, development, and productization goals, planning and executing intermediate milestones with internal stakeholders.
Preparing and delivering highly complex technical presentations regarding the state of the art in AI, leading development and design innovation of new and complex products to articulate differentiation and identify trends.
Translating customer feedback and external environment insights into potential changes for the product roadmap and communicating these to senior leaders.
Ensuring successful cross-functional collaboration by meeting KPIs and specifications for new, complex products upon delivery by engineering teams.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams and building relationships with stakeholders to guide design conversations.
Completing product development and definition activities for new or highly complex products, including cost and impact analysis, and interacting with sales to generate forecasts.
Keeping up to date on competitors, technological advances, and the product ecosystem, and leading innovation efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Strong understanding of deploying GenAI, Voice AI, Agentic flows, Perception AI at scale for efficient inference at edge.
Deep knowledge of neural network algorithms, ML trends, and challenges in software deployment.
Ability to analyze GenAI models at the system level and understand tradeoffs related to model size, performance, accuracy, power, and benchmarks.
Experience with machine learning models and inferencing techniques on CPU, GPU, and NPU accelerators.
Experience training and deploying deep learning applications across CPU, GPU, and NPU engines.
Background with AI software stack solutions from Qualcomm and other industry players in Mobile, IoT, Automotive, or Industrial markets.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Execution-oriented with a track record of delivering on time under aggressive schedules.

Nice to Have

Experience in Agentic AI and Hybrid AI design.
Experience in system-level analysis of neural network models and hardware/software roadmap planning.
Background in product management or engineering development for ecosystem, product development process, release cadence, and geo-specific partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
10+ years of product management or related experience.
