Senior Email Marketing Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with internal and external teams to lead all aspects of email campaign management including strategy, technical and creative development, proofing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Monitor and analyze email campaign performance using key metrics, generate reports, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Lead AAA Life's email experimentation practice across the entire lifecycle from hypothesis development to test execution and measurement.
• Conduct extensive testing and analysis of email marketing efforts including delivery time, creative layout, messaging, subject line testing, and segmentation performance.
• Conduct quality assurance testing on email messages to ensure proper functioning of tracking links, images, subject lines, and segmentation links, and verify email rendering across various email clients.
• Identify new programs, optimizations, and opportunities to grow the business through the development and management of new email marketing strategies.
• Provide consultation and recommendations to business stakeholders regarding email best practices, industry standards, and regulations.
• Partner with the IT Development team to troubleshoot technical issues and design, build, and implement new functionality for email programs.
• Lead efforts to expand into other one-to-one communication channels including SMS programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or similar field of study.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in digital marketing or email marketing.
• Five (5) years of hands-on experience writing campaign workflows in Adobe Campaign.
• Advanced knowledge of email and deliverability best practices, segmentation, and personalization.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email design and customization.
• Experience leading email experimentation practices including A/B and multivariate testing.
• Experience integrating email programs with other direct channels such as direct mail, search, display, and social media.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).

Nice to Have

• Insurance or Financial Services industry experience.
• Email Marketing, Marketing Automation and/or Digital Marketing Certification.
• Experience with Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
