Senior Graphic Designer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Review project briefs with marketing and cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into strategic, brand-aligned design concepts.
• Create web graphics, email visuals, social media posts, sales collateral, or trade show materials.
• Use tools like Adobe Creative Suite to manage multiple design projects while keeping track of deadlines.
• Provide creative recommendations with confidence and founded in good design and UX best practices.
• Lead design development from project kickoff to final delivery, including research, ideation, and production.
• Create a wide range of assets, including website and social media graphics, infographics, banners, icons, videos, email assets, sales collateral, and tradeshow booth graphics.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet strategic objectives.
• Revise and edit designs based on feedback to align with project requirements and enhance visual impact.
• Keep up to date with the latest design trends, software, and industry best practices.
• Utilize strong project management skills to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain brand identity guidelines to ensure consistency across all creative projects.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating a high degree of creativity and experience designing across different mediums.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, event management, or related field.
• BA/BS in Graphic Design or related design experience and training.
• Minimum 5 years of design experience, preferably in-house or agency in the life science industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead (define creative strategy and direction) and execute (develop and iterate on designs).
• Experience interfacing directly with stakeholders to understand and translate business objectives into design deliverables.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Expertise in relevant design applications & creative software (Adobe CS, Sketch, Figma, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Agile practices and project management tools (Basecamp, Monday, etc.).
• Preferred experience with WordPress website design, development, and management, including intermediate HTML/Javascript/CSS skills.
• Experience in social media content development and social graphics.
• Knowledge of video editing, interactive design, and motion graphics is a plus.

Qualifications
