About the Role

Peraton has a compelling need for a senior level graphic designer to support a client located in Linthicum MD. The successful candidate will have a unique blend of artistic talent, technical proficiency, security awareness, and understanding of military culture and communication protocols. This role is a vital part of the strategic communication team, responsible for visually conveying important information and supporting the overall mission of the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) while adhering to strict security protocols and branding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Support the strategic communication team by creating visual content that conveys important information in line with security protocols and branding guidelines.
Collaborate across diverse and integrated teams to develop and present design concepts clearly and persuasively.
Manage competing deadlines and shifting priorities without loss of productivity.
Create and manipulate images, illustrations, and layouts to enhance communication materials.
Ensure all designs adhere to security protocols, branding, and style guidelines.

Requirements

Active Secret clearance (or above).
Associates degree and 10+ years of experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience; OR Master's Degree and 6+ years of experience; OR 3 years with PhD. Four (4) years of additional relevant experience or specialized training can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Mastery of design principles including visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, composition, and imagery.
Proficiency in digital illustration, technical illustration, and photo editing software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and related tools.
Understanding of motion graphics, animation, and video editing software (a plus).
Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and optionally 3D modeling and web design tools.
Knowledge of printing processes, color management, pre-press preparation, and file formats.

Nice to Have

Experience working with DAF Public Affairs.
Experience with motion graphics, animation, and video editing software such as Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D.
Knowledge of web design (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Experience with digital asset management systems.

Qualifications

Relevant educational background as specified in requirements.
Minimum of 6 years of experience with a Master's degree, or equivalent experience.

Target salary range of $112,000 - $179,000 based on experience and other factors.
