About the Role

The Senior GTM Strategy & Enablement Manager at Gem is responsible for transforming how teams sell, support, and succeed by designing and implementing playbooks, processes, and programs that enhance sales performance. The role involves partnering with Product, Product Marketing, RevOps, and frontline teams to ensure effective enablement of GTM initiatives, especially in a rapidly evolving AI-first platform environment. The position offers an opportunity to reimagine GTM operations, influence strategic change, and impact win rates, ramp times, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transform new hire onboarding from basic to best-in-class, designing role-specific onboarding paths that reduce ramp time by 30%+ for various sales roles across segments.
  • Build the TA industry knowledge foundation to help reps contribute value from day one.
  • Partner with RevOps to establish ramp benchmarks and track progress with data.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive playbook library, extracting tribal knowledge from top performers into searchable, actionable resources.
  • Map the entire customer journey with CS managers and document common challenges and solutions at each stage.
  • Create and maintain a reference resource ('Wikipedia of winning') for reps to use during live calls.
  • Lead content strategy initiatives, including auditing and organizing the Highspot instance and leading a cross-functional content committee.
  • Measure content usage, impact on deal velocity, and behavior change.
  • Segment training needs by role and segment to tailor enablement efforts.
  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing to develop talk tracks, objection handling, and enablement materials for weekly feature releases.
  • Implement micro-certifications to verify reps can demo new features effectively.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to develop competitive battle cards, positioning, and objection handling for key competitors.
  • Maintain a dynamic competitive resource center for reps during deals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with at least 3 years in enablement, GTM strategy, or customer-facing roles.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing enablement programs that improve win rates and reduce ramp time.
  • Experience as a seller, CSM, or in strategic GTM roles, with an understanding of the teams being supported.
  • Data-driven approach to enablement with experience tracking ROI and presenting impact to leadership.
  • Comfortable learning complex B2B SaaS products and translating technical features into customer value.
  • Experience with enablement platforms (Highspot, Workramp, Glean, etc.) and CRM/sales tools (Salesforce, Gong, etc.).
  • Ability to partner with Product and Engineering teams to stay ahead of release cycles.
  • Strong understanding of MEDDPICC or similar enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information into simple, actionable guidance.
  • Natural teaching ability to design curricula that maximize learning and retention.
  • Cross-functional leadership skills to influence stakeholders without authority.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute when needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in recruiting tech, HR tech, or talent acquisition industry.
  • Background in product marketing, management consulting, customer success, solutions consulting, or as Chief of Staff to sales leadership.
  • Track record of building enablement from scratch or transforming underperforming programs.
  • Experience managing enablement through rapid growth phases (Series B to D).
