Senior Innovation Market Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market assessments, build competitive landscapes, and evaluate trends to identify business opportunities.
• Develop and validate product-market fit in collaboration with R&D and product teams to refine concepts, ensuring alignment with customer needs and potential market demand.
• Create go-to-market strategies including potential launch plans, target segments, distribution channels, pricing/packaging, and opportunity models.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to accelerate market entry or expansion.
• Contribute to product management activities for early-stage innovation projects, such as presenting demos to key partners and analyzing feedback for product iteration.
• Manage innovation pipeline and help project leads think through product value propositions and hypotheses.
• Present analyses and recommendations to stakeholders across research, design, business, marketing, and executive teams to accelerate projects.
• Collaborate with diverse teams, presenting insights and recommendations to drive innovation across Dolby.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required with 5+ years of experience in tech-oriented business roles such as product management, business development, or strategy consulting.
• Or MBA preferred (or relevant Master's degree in Business, Strategy, Product Management, or related field) with 3+ years of experience in tech-oriented business roles.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in market sizing, trend analysis, and financial modeling.
• Comfortable working with technical teams and technologies such as AI/ML, cloud, edge computing, audio/video processing, and multimodal experiences.
• Experience with business analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, SiSense) and market analysis platforms (e.g., CB Insights, Pitchbook, Statista, Crunchbase).
• Proven track record of developing go-to-market strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience in innovation or new product development.
• Background in technology startups or venture capital.
• Understanding of various business/revenue models.
• Experience in entrepreneurial ventures or product incubation.
• Knowledge of strategic analysis tools and methods (e.g., design thinking, Porter's 5 Forces, Eisenhower Matrix, Corporate Entrepreneurship).

Qualifications

• Educational background including a Bachelor's Degree or MBA (or relevant Master's degree).
• Experience in tech-oriented business roles, with specific years of experience depending on degree level.
