Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate new opportunities by working closely with Business Development leadership and US, Canadian, and APAC internal teams.
Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to assess the feasibility and alignment of external opportunities with business strategy and financial criteria.
Support evaluation of new opportunities by managing financial modeling and due diligence processes with strong collaboration across internal teams.
Prepare strategic business cases for internal discussion and approval.
Support implementation and launch/integration of strategic partnerships.
Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders based on trust, transparency, and communication.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to think strategically, build alignment, work independently, and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity, and adaptability in a complex, rapidly changing, and ambiguous environment.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or graduate degree in life sciences preferred.
8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare banking/consulting.
3+ years of experience in business development supporting successful strategic partnerships (highly preferred).
In-depth understanding of US and Canadian pharmaceutical markets, product development cycles, and regulatory landscape.
Proficiency in developing detailed financial models, assessing commercial opportunities, and interpreting risk simulation outputs.
Experience in preparing commercial assessments, validating assumptions, and developing quantitative and qualitative support documentation.
Experience in modeling deal terms aligned with risk profiles and strategic/financial objectives.
Sound judgment regarding sensitive information and confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, advocacy, delegation, and communication skills.
Ability to work across functional disciplines.
Excellent presentation and analytical skills, mastery of MS PowerPoint and Excel.

Nice to Have

Experience supporting successful strategic partnerships in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Experience with deal structuring and risk-reward analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required
MBA or graduate degree in life sciences preferred
8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare banking/consulting
3+ years of experience in business development supporting strategic partnerships
