About the Role

The Senior Manager, Content Engine is a strategic and dynamic role supporting the Media, Growth & Performance Marketing team within a newly formed Audience Engagement Team. The role focuses on establishing and advancing content marketing practices that drive return on investment for brands, including SEO-informed and AI-optimized content strategies. The position involves guiding cross-functional teams, building a content engine playbook, and supporting the development of innovative content distribution and measurement processes to enhance brand presence and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director, Content Engine Lead in building a first of its kind Center of Excellence dedicated to content that drives SEO, GEO, and social search.
  • Create and lead the development of a company-wide content engine playbook that connects insights with content actions and how best to measure impact.
  • Work with brand marketers and cross-functional teams to guide content strategies aligned with brand objectives and target audience, including testing and learning plans.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content by in-house teams or external partners that enriches storytelling and drives engagement across organic, search-driven platforms.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, compelling, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice.
  • Build a process for, and own, the end-to-end production of quick-turn content, supporting agile content creation when resources are limited.
  • Drive engagement and conversion through innovative content distribution tactics across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with SEO, Product, Measurement, Social Listening, and Media teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding support overall marketing and business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for timely delivery of content and campaigns on brand sites.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure content effectiveness, derive insights, and optimize strategies.
  • Manage the content budget to ensure efficient resource allocation and ROI.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to keep content strategies relevant and innovative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; or a master's degree with at least 5 years of experience; or a PhD with 1+ years of experience.
  • Successful track record designing and implementing high-impact content campaigns from conception through execution.
  • Project management skills coordinating multifaceted campaigns and initiatives.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Mastery in staying compliant with legal and regulatory guidelines surrounding branded content.
  • Skilled at communicating compelling narratives and campaign visions.
  • Adept at persuading internal and external stakeholders of the merits and potential business value of strategies.
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to navigate matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to drive strategy while executing flawlessly at speed.
  • Embodies values of courage, excellence, equity, and joy.

Qualifications

Benefits & Perks

  • Annual base salary ranging from $120,800 to $201,400.
  • Participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of base salary.
