About the Role

The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Strategy (Philanthropy) at Roc Nation oversees the full scope of digital impact related to philanthropic initiatives. The role involves supporting long-term strategy and rapid response, agile execution, content development, campaign strategy, stakeholder engagement, and digital performance reporting. The position also includes managing junior talent, external partners, and internal cross-functional teams, with a focus on advancing social impact and cultural engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead digital strategy across 8+ clients and their primary platforms, aligning with philanthropic missions, cultural moments, fundraising goals, and campaigns.
  • Drive planning and execution of social content calendars using agile methodologies to ensure strategies remain timely, flexible, and impactful.
  • Set strategic tone, themes, and KPIs; conduct creative reviews with team stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement new social content opportunities; maintain real-time control of social/web platforms and narratives.
  • Oversee development of media plans (paid and organic), digital platforms, creative briefs, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Manage and execute content publishing across multiple social platforms with support from the Digital Coordinator, ensuring partner reshares and amplification.
  • Review and edit copywriting for brand alignment and error-free deliverables.
  • Establish campaign KPIs, guide performance benchmarks, and recommend channel-specific creative adjustments.
  • Grow client awareness, social engagement, and content syndication through impactful content and social conversations.
  • Create and manage digital Run of Show (ROS) documents for event activations, approve shot lists, lead live content coverage, and ensure content readiness.
  • Oversee partner, ambassador, influencer, and UGC campaign development, execution, and social toolkits.
  • Monitor audience engagement, provide strategic guidance for responses and collaborations, and review content performance.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for client communication, approvals, and digital strategy discussions.
  • Lead monthly performance reports, including social listening, competitive analysis, and campaign recaps, with strategic insights.
  • Oversee timely content updates, quality assurance, SEO/SEM initiatives, and web structure recommendations.
  • Manage digital budgets, invoices, account verifications, and internal documentation for content and events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing digital content and social platforms in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create results-driven digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, industry trends, and digital services.
  • Experience with social management and listening platforms.
  • Experience creating social media content using Adobe suite or similar tools.
  • Experience with website management, CMS, and HTML.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in high-profile, dynamic environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to accommodate digital requests beyond office hours for breaking news or real-time moments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Live within commuting distance of New York City and able to work in-person five days a week.

Qualifications
