About the Role

The Senior Manager, Product Marketing at Credit Acceptance is responsible for developing and leading the product marketing function within the dealer marketing team. This role is a critical part of the evolving marketing function at Credit Acceptance, focusing on building impactful marketing strategies to drive transformational growth, support product launches, and enhance the company's brand. The position offers flexibility to work from home with occasional travel to the Southfield, Michigan office, and involves managing product marketing capabilities, conducting market research, developing data-driven strategies, and guiding cross-functional teams to execute go-to-market plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the product marketing capability, establish the roadmap, and build the foundations needed to support growth through existing and new products.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify dealer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics, and leverage data to inform marketing and product strategies.
  • Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that clearly communicates value propositions and differentiates products to target dealers and their needs.
  • Gather dealer feedback and insights to understand their pain points, and leverage testimonials and case studies to showcase product value.
  • Drive product launches and feature updates by developing and executing go-to-market plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams including product management, operations, and legal.
  • Implement structured testing plans and learning agendas to optimize marketing strategies and improve effectiveness.
  • Streamline processes and implement team rituals to improve visibility, speed to market, and operational efficiency.
  • Guide and develop the careers of direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
  • 8 years of combined B2B or B2C corporate strategy, product strategy, or product marketing.
  • 3 years of strategy experience in a marketing organization of at least 20 people or at a strategy consulting firm.
  • 5 years of leadership experience, including developing and mentoring talent.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to inform strategy and drive marketing effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and uncover insights.
  • Fluent in the economics of the business and able to identify key marketing levers that drive growth.
  • Experience structuring analytical requests and interpreting analysis to guide decision-making.
  • Hypothesis-driven approach to marketing, emphasizing testing, measuring, and learning.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, including product positioning, messaging, and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence internal decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and capable of performing with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives and shifting priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the automotive or finance industry is a plus.
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment.
  • Knowledge of marketing tools and technologies relevant to product marketing.

Qualifications

  • Degrees earned at institutions accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
