About the Role

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering at Toyota is a leadership role within Toyota Financial Services, based in Plano, TX. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of passionate developers and analysts, ensuring high-quality development and adherence to best practices.
  • Design scalable and robust solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and system architecture.
  • Design and manage integrations with third-party applications and enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
  • Monitor and optimize applications platform performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with business teams, product managers, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to the development team members.
  • Perform hands-on work with APIs, REST, and integration patterns.
  • Work with Eventing Platforms like Kafka.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable Java & J2EE applications.
  • Build high-performance micro-services using Spring Boot.
  • Develop applications based on Event, Domain, CQRS driven design.
  • Create dynamic front-end applications with Vue.js, NUXT, PrimeVue, SSR, AWS Amplify, writing clean, maintainable, and efficient TypeScript code.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on AWS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related focus area, or related experience.
  • Strong backend experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on front-end expertise with Vue.js, Angular, or React.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for UI development.
  • Experience with AWS cloud deployment.
  • Experience with UI frameworks such as Quasar, Vuetify, PrimeVue, and NUXT.
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database design.
  • Experience in designing scalable, high-performance applications.
  • Expertise in multithreading and handling concurrent processes.
  • Experience with Function Test Automation using PlayWright and Karate.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech sectors, or Automotive Dealer Facing Applications.
  • Knowledge of Akka framework for distributed computing.
  • Experience with AI tools like GitHub Copilot.
