About the Role

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist position at Cengage Group offers an outstanding opportunity to drive world-class marketing automation strategies. Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize marketing automation strategies within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Salesforce Connector, Distributed Marketing, Mobile Studio, and Audience Builder.
Proficiently manage multi-audience email campaigns globally, ensuring effective delivery and segmentation strategies using SFMC.
Troubleshoot system issues, implement solutions, and manage data flow integrations between Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
Build and monitor customer journeys with attention to data accuracy, system configurations, and flawless automation execution.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and technology teams to ensure campaign alignment with business goals.
Research and propose new approaches to marketing automation to enhance adoption and effectiveness.
Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing insights for optimization.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical team members.

Requirements

3+ years of Marketing Cloud administration experience with complex journeys involving multiple decision splits, data updates in SF, AMPScript, and multiple data sources.
3+ years of Email Campaign Management and Delivery leadership experience, including production and segmentation strategy.
2+ years of experience with digital marketing tracking tools such as Google Analytics.
Salesforce Associate certification or higher is required.
Marketing Cloud Administration or higher certification is required.
Basic to moderate knowledge of AMPScript, SQL, and HTML.
Understanding of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other data privacy regulations.

Nice to Have

Experience with Salesforce Connector and Distributed Marketing features.
Knowledge of additional marketing automation tools or platforms.
Experience in troubleshooting and managing integrations between Salesforce and other systems.

Qualifications

Salesforce Associate certification or higher.
Marketing Cloud Administration or higher certification.
