About the Role

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist position at Cengage offers an outstanding opportunity to drive world-class marketing automation strategies. You will collaborate with ambitious teams in marketing, product, and technology to ensure flawless execution and optimization of automated marketing journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). Your role will be pivotal in successfully implementing campaigns that align with our business goals and improve customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its key features, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Salesforce Connector, Distributed Marketing, Mobile Studio and Audience Builder.
Proficient in email marketing standard methodologies, with a track record of managing multi-audience email campaigns globally, and substantial experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
Ability to troubleshoot system issues, implement solutions, and manage integrations of the data flow between Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
An eye for detail when it comes to building journeys, ensuring data accuracy, system configurations, and marketing automation are flawless.
Ability to collaborate with various collaborators, communicate technical concepts to non-technical collaborators, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Explore, research, and propose new approaches to marketing automation to drive adoption.
Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, offering actionable insights for optimization.

Requirements

3+ years of Marketing Cloud administration experience with complex journeys that include multiple decision splits based on data updates in SF, AMPScript, and multiple data sources.
3+ years of Email Campaign Management and Delivery leadership experience with production and segmentation strategy.
2+ years of experience in digital marketing tracking tools like Google Analytics.
Salesforce Associate certification or higher is required.
Marketing Cloud Administration or higher is required.
Basic to moderate knowledge of AMPScript, SQL, and HTML.
Understanding of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other data privacy regulations.

Nice to Have

Experience with troubleshooting and managing integrations between Salesforce and other systems.
Knowledge of additional marketing automation tools or platforms.

Qualifications

Relevant experience in marketing automation and email campaign management.
Certifications in Salesforce and Marketing Cloud are required.
