About the Role

The Senior Email Developer Specialist role will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing email outreach for Ally Financial across multiple lines of business. As an integral part of the Product and Lifecycle Marketing team, this person will interact with business partners on the marketing team to ensure emails are built and delivered accurately, and according to brand & accessibility standards, as well as follow current email best practices. This role works from the Ally office in Charlotte, NC, OR Detroit, MI, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 from home.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and launch complex and responsive emails using internal and external agency assets.
Setup and deploy one-off and recurring automated email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
Conduct detail-oriented team audits of all deliverables to ensure 100% accuracy of emails across multiple desktop and mobile devices.

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience in email development, preferably with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Proficiency with Journey Builder, Cloud Pages, and Automation Studio is a plus.
Strong technical abilities such as coding responsive emails in HTML and CSS, leveraging dynamic data via AMPscript, and querying data via SQL.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Ability to work with diverse business partners with competing objectives.
Attention to detail and strong focus on quality.
Professional communication across roles and functions throughout the organization.

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other related field preferred.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in email development.
Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
Technical skills in HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and SQL.
