About the Role

The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will promote Pfizer's product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educate the healthcare community on appropriate product use, and call on accounts and organized customers to improve patient experience and care quality. The role involves increasing Pfizer's brand presence with high-value target customers by assessing accounts and understanding Pfizer's products and resources. The position emphasizes a commitment to quality, safety, innovation, and customer orientation, directly impacting patients through manufacturing, testing, or compliance contributions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Pfizer's product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists.
  • Educate members of the healthcare community regarding the appropriate use of Pfizer products.
  • Call on accounts and organized customers to help improve patients' experience with Pfizer products and the overall quality of patient care.
  • Assess the needs of target physicians and accounts and address those needs with responsive approaches, targeted skills, and appropriate resources.
  • Develop comprehensive territory, account, and customer plans to achieve desired objectives.
  • Maintain relationships throughout institutions and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Overcome obstacles to gain access to difficult-to-see healthcare providers and customers.
  • Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver's license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous Pharmaceutical Sales experience or Oncology Healthcare Professional (HCP) experience working with key Oncology thought leaders or high influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
  • Demonstrated success and accomplishment in previous Pharmaceutical Sales or Healthcare Professional experience.
  • Exceptional aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information.
  • Demonstrated high degree of business acumen.
  • Proficiency using complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer's technology model.

Nice to Have

  • 3-5 years of Oncology sales experience.
  • Master's Degree.
  • Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) Degree.
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.

  • Educational background includes a BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution.
