About the Role

The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will promote Pfizer's product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educate the healthcare community on appropriate product use, and call on accounts and organized customers to improve patient experiences and overall quality of care. The role involves increasing Pfizer's brand presence with high-value target customers by assessing accounts and understanding Pfizer's products and resources. The position is integral to delivering safe and effective products to patients within a culture committed to quality, innovation, and customer orientation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Pfizer's product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists.
  • Educate members of the healthcare community regarding the appropriate use of Pfizer products.
  • Call on accounts and organized customers to help improve patients' experience with Pfizer products and the overall quality of patient care.
  • Assess the account and/or business landscape to link insights with Pfizer's products and resources.
  • Develop comprehensive territory, account, or customer plans to achieve desired objectives.
  • Maintain relationships throughout institutions and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Overcome obstacles to gain access to difficult-to-see healthcare providers and customers.
  • Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution or an associate's degree with 8+ years of experience, or a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver's license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous Pharmaceutical Sales experience or Oncology Healthcare Professional (HCP) experience working with key Oncology thought leaders or high influence customers.
  • Demonstrated success and accomplishment in previous pharmaceutical sales or healthcare professional roles.
  • Exceptional aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information.
  • High degree of business acumen.
  • Proficiency with complex digital applications and adapting to Pfizer's technology model.
  • Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Ability to generate demand, develop strategic account plans, and build lasting relationships with healthcare providers and institutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and leverage multiple resources to meet customer needs.

Nice to Have

  • 3-5 years of Oncology sales experience.
  • Master's Degree.
  • Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) Degree.
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.

  • Educational qualifications as specified in requirements (BA/BS, associate's, or high school diploma with experience).
