Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for translating vision and strategy for their product portfolio into software solutions in partnership with product line managers, other technical product managers, user experience team and development team. The Senior Product Manager works closely with customers to understand their needs, and test concepts and solutions. They also engage with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, implementation, training and support teams to gather their customer insights and their own functional needs. The Senior Product Manger serves as the bridge between both internal and external stakeholders and development teams, ensuring successful product execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops a deep understanding of the product vision, target customer segments, and long-term priorities while ensuring alignment and communication with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with internal teams (engineering, marketing, sales, implementation, training, and support) to gather insights, align priorities, and ensure successful product development and launch execution.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer, engaging with user experience and development teams to validate and refine solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Facilitates customer interactions, in partnership with user experience team, to understand their unmet needs and test concepts and solutions throughout the development process.
  • Translates business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
  • Leads Agile development execution, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and review of completed work to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Leads quarterly Agile planning processes and continuously deepens subject matter expertise to drive product improvements.
  • Develops and maintains detailed product roadmaps, prioritizing features across multiple quarters.
  • Works with project managers and other technical product managers to manage dependencies, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Manages dependencies and risks across teams, ensuring continuous improvement and cross-functional alignment.
  • Monitors product performance, tracks KPIs, and adjusts strategies to maximize business value and customer impact.
  • Facilitates customer interactions to understand pain points, conduct concept testing, and ensure solutions address real user needs.
  • Ensures successful product delivery by reviewing completed work, validating acceptance criteria, and iterating as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in product management for software products, preferably in B2B enterprise SaaS or Tax & Accounting solutions (including CPA firm experience).
  • Hands-on experience in Agile Scrum methodologies as a Product Owner/Technical Product Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including backlog grooming, user story creation, and iterative planning.
  • Experience collaborating with UX and technical teams to design and refine products based on customer research (interviews, concept testing, usability testing).
  • Strategic Thinking & Influence - Ability to align stakeholders, balance priorities, and drive product vision.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - Leverages data and customer insights to guide product strategy.
  • Technical Fluency & Problem Solving - Translates complex business needs into actionable development tasks.
  • Agility & Adaptability - Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and responds quickly to changing priorities.
  • Collaboration & Communication - Strong cross-functional teamwork, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Accountability & Ownership - Ensures execution aligns with strategic goals and takes responsibility for outcomes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in B2B enterprise SaaS or Tax & Accounting solutions.
  • CPA firm experience.
