The company follows a flexible hybrid work model, typically requiring three days per week on-site in San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ship amazing new products in our Activity and Progress spaces, helping our athletes set and reach their goals.
  • Define the future of core Strava products like Segments.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and marketing to develop and launch new products.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis and user research to derive actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Prioritize the product roadmap, set measurable goals, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Monitor and analyze key product metrics to continuously improve our product portfolio.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity and excellence.
  • Listen attentively to team members and users, using their feedback to guide product decisions.
  • Build user-centric products that improve the overall Strava experience.
  • Offer clarity and direction when faced with complex challenges, sharing insights openly with the team.
  • Identify key problems to solve and maintain focus on achieving set goals.
  • Prioritize projects effectively to balance value creation with investment required.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and excellence within the product team.
  • Live the product by personally using it and participating in the sports that athletes do.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with a proven track record as a product manager, launching well-loved consumer products.
  • Ability to distill complex problems into clear, actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication skills, comfortable engaging in technical, tactical, and strategic conversations.
  • A sophisticated understanding of data and its role in product decision-making.
  • Ambition, drive, and passion for staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Meticulous planning skills, anticipating challenges and setting projects up for success.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Strava, either as a user or through close engagement with the athlete community, particularly in endurance sports like cycling or running.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within a community-focused or sports-related platform.
  • Knowledge of product development methodologies and tools.
  • Experience collaborating with research, engineering, design, analytics, and marketing teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a product manager with a track record of launching consumer products.
