Senior Product Manager - Platform Extensibility

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the vision, strategy, and monetization approach for Plex's extensibility platform, enabling customers to adapt Plex through visual, low-code tooling, APIs, and system interoperability.
• Establish clear metrics to measure and demonstrate the success, adoption, and value of extensible capabilities.
• Oversee the product lifecycle for extensibility features, including data model extensions, workflows, UI builders, composable applications, and document composer, with a focus on AI integration.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver impactful product releases.
• Work closely with domain-specific Product Managers to embed extensibility features within applications and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and iterate on solutions.
• Build a vibrant ecosystem by working with partners to create and distribute apps, templates, and solutions, and lead the creation of a marketplace or app repository.
• Communicate progress to senior leadership, sales, and marketing teams, and lead customer and sales conversations to explain the vision, benefits, and roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Typically requires 8 years of related experience, including at least 3 years in platform or technical product management within enterprise SaaS or manufacturing software.
• Proven experience developing extensibility-focused platform features such as APIs, custom apps, and workflow automation.
• Experience implementing AI capabilities in SaaS products or manufacturing AI applications.
• Experience working with external partners to create solutions, including building marketplaces or app repositories.
• Experience building and using APIs, low-code tooling, and technologies such as XSLT.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including technical teams, business stakeholders, customers, and sales teams.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
